WHAT HAPPENED?
Portuguese superstar Ronaldo, who has gone on to earn GOAT status, made his professional debut for Sporting as a starry-eyed teenager back in 2002. On August 14 of that year, the first steps were taken down a road that would lead to sporting immortality.

Nike have already offered a nod to the other Ronaldo – Brazil’s legendary No.9 – after re-releasing a version of the iconic “Chrome/Lime” boots that he donned when winning the 2002 World Cup. CR7 is next to the get the throwback treatment, with his offering including a cinder base, yellow accents and the legendary “mini tongue”.
