Rios has a €100 million (£86m/$117m) clause in his contract but could go for as little as €30m (£25m/$35m), according to , with the Champions League runners up considering making an offer.

Rios' impressive performances at the Club World Cup attracted a bid from Premier League club West Ham, who submitted an offer of €25m (£21m/$29m), but it was rejected by Palmeiras. Saudi club Al-Hilal and French club Paris Saint-Germain have expressed interest in signing the player.

The 25-year-old caught attention during Colombia's recent World Cup qualifying clash with Argentina last month, as he got caught in a spat with ex-Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi after the latter reportedly mocked his hairband. Rios is said to have replied: "Keep your mouth shut because you're so old you can't even run anymore."
